Jeff Reamer, Allow me to clear something up since I've been living in a hotel away from my family since January 23rd and in bargaining with this greedy corporation fighting for a contract for all of you. The comments I'm seeing about losing 2 days pay, not being scheduled but having to picket, why am I obligated, etc. are making me sick to my stomach.

This morning, CWA gave notice to AT&T Mobility management that we are exercising our right to terminate the Orange Contract in 72 hours. That doesn't mean we are going on strike, but it means we are one step closer. Back in February, the union and management reached an agreement to extend the contract.

Terry, We will accomplish nothing at the bargaining table without each and every one of us taking action for a fair contract at AT&T Mobility. One of us alone is powerless, but with all of us standing side by side, we are powerful. We have to use that power! Our Day of Action in February was huge - thousands of us came out to rallies and informational pickets across the country.

AT&T’s pending over-the-top service DirecTV Now continues to add content partners, signing a carriage agreement with Viacom that will include a dozen of the programmer’s cable networks including MTV, Comedy Central and VH1. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Other Viacom networks included in the agreement are CMT, Logo, BET, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, Nick Jr.

AT&T (NYSE: T) and the Communications Workers of America (CWA) could not reach an agreement by the Saturday midnight expiration of their West Region wireline contract, but the two sides said they will continue to negotiate a new contract. During the negotiation period, West Region wireline employees will continue to work under the terms of the expired contract.

Upon completion of this latest build, the service provider will double the amount of metro areas it serves to a total of 56.

But in a greater sense, it seems nothing gets fixed. Is the culture of Dallas-based AT&T to accept the trove of complaints but never drill down to the root cause.
